The Key West Writers Guild has just published its second anthology of short stories
entitled Voices From Key West. The book is a collection of winners of the guild’s annual short
story contest over the last several years. Many of the twenty-one stories have a Key West theme. Others don’t. Contributing
authors include Ray Campbell, B.G. Carter, Daniel DiStasio, Dorothy Francis, Peg Gregory, Miriam Polli Katsikis, Jennifer
Mitchell, Jane Newhagen, Trisha Peak, Penny Nichols Pickett, Garnet Ricks, Karen Sue Riggs, Joanna Brady Schmida, Donna Smith,
Mike Tuohy, Orvello Wood, and Corina Zemke. Internationally recognized Key West artist, Ray Rolston,
contributed the artwork for both covers and several stories in the anthology. Anthologies are available
at $12.95 at Margueritaville, the Coffee Plantation, Historic Tours of America gift shops, the Blue Heaven gift shop, the
Green Parrot gift shop, from Ray Rolston at the Mallory Square Sunset Celebration, the Original Ghost Tours and Island Books,
both on Fleming Street, and from Guild members. The project was sponsored in part by the Florida Keys
Council of the Arts, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council, and
National Endowment for the Arts, and private donations.
